For players who are new to fighting games, the concept of frame data can be frustratingly confusing. Everyone knows that it’s important, but it’s hard to appreciate that importance when you’re just looking at numbers in a spreadsheet.

If you’re in this position, consider turning to a new video from Mu-jong “Kkokkoma” Kim. Kim is one of the world’s best Tekken 7 players. Last year, he finished in 7th place in the Tekken World Tour regular season, so it’s clear that he has a strong grasp of the fundamentals. In his latest YouTube video, he takes a newer player into training mode and walks him through various in-game scenarios, explaining how frame data affects each one. Not only does this give players a good idea of how to lab with one another, it makes the concepts much more intuitive by demonstrating them in action.

The audio for the video is in Korean, but Kim does provide English subtitles. Watch his whole video below, then follow him on Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch.
