As previously reported here on toptier, Capcom has partnered with Super League Gaming to form an amateur version of Street Fighter League. The City Champs league is comprised of teams from sixteen locals across North America, which, at five players per team, means that we’re getting the chance to see eighty local heroes vie for the title. After one round of competition, the undefeated teams are Toronto, Cleveland, Atlanta, Miami, Phoenix, Houston, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
Unlike the professional SFL, all of the matches in the City Champs league take place online, which comes with all the usual complications. Nevertheless, this is an excellent opportunity for all of us in the Street Fighter community to catch an early glimpse of some up-and-comers and to support our local competitors and tournament organizers. You can follow the results and learn more about the teams and TOs here, and you can also watch the matches live on the following Twitch channels:

- Team Los Angeles: 818azad
