As previously reported here on toptier, there’s a new online option for fighting game fans. SRKade is a community-run effort to make classic fighting games playable online. When they launched, they featured such classics as Street Fighter III: Third Strike and Dead or Alive 2. Now, they’ve added three more excellent titles to their roster: Tekken 5, Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution, and the original Tekken Tag Tournament.
For those of us who are stuck at home due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this is the perfect opportunity to get back in touch with our roots or explore the history of the games we love. All of SRKade’s matchmaking is done through emulators, so please make sure that you buy these games through the proper channels before participating. But once you’ve done that, you should absolutely check out the SRKade Discord, Twitter, and Facebook so that you can jump into this awesome community project!
