Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath is a huge expansion that includes their famous cinematic story mode. NRS definitely holds the industry standard for great fighting game story modes that feels like an epic movie that spans the length of several full-length films. The story kicks off seconds after the end of MK 11 and sees Raiden and Shang Tsung forming an alliance to reboot history yet again. They’ll need to grab a McGuffin headpiece that will allow them to reboot the past.

The trailer also reveals three brand new characters joining the fight for Outworld. Two classic characters Fujin and Sheeva makes a return and newcomer Robocop from the trilogy of movies by the same name.

The new expansion will also have new stage fatalities, friendships, and new stages for free on release day. The Mortal Kombat 11 twitter and Ed Boon himself seem to be teasing the community with some of the new friendships that will be added.
