To celebrate the one year anniversary of the release of KILL la KILL -IF, of course a tournament must be held.
KILL la KILL -IF is an arena style fighting game based on the anime of the same name developed by Arc System Works. Arena style fighters break the mold of traditional fighting games by having the perspective shifted to behind the back of one of the players and zoomed out. It has many features of anime style fighting games like standard attacks, jumps, blocking, and bursts. What sets it apart is the homing dashes that can be canceled to feint an approach and the presence of guard breaks instead throws. One very unique mechanic is the utilization of burst in neutral or a combo that will start an RPS mini game that gives the aggressor chances to get buffs that last the whole game.
The tournament will occur this coming Friday, July 24, 2020 (at 1PM PST / 3PM CST / 4PM EST) and is open to all regions. The tournament will be held on the Playstation 4 version of the game. Registration is free with a $120 prize pot and an art commission for first place (but we all know the real prize is the pride of being the best KILL la KILL player around).
