Arc System Works has announced its next open beta test for their upcoming flagship game, Guilty Gear Strive.
The press release announced that the beta will take place from 7pm PST on February 18 to 6:59am on February 21st on both PS4 and PS5.
The OBT will come with Versus, Dojo, and Network modes. The Versus mode will allow you to play against another player or against the CPU. Dojo mode will give us a peek at the tutorial and the standard training mode will be made available. Finally, the Network Mode will allow players to fight each other around the world with their newly implemented rollback netcode. The beta will also display ping and rollback frames to help you see how well the connection is doing. The team is actively asking for feedback on the quality of the netcode but ask to note the ping and rollback numbers to help them analyze any issues.
The announcement also notes that 13 out of the 15 confirmed characters will be available to play. It is confirmed that Anji and the unannounced 15th character won’t be playable for this beta test.
The players who have preordered the digital version of Guilty Gear Strive on PS4 or PS5 will be able to play 1 day early.

Rolling Hills Estates, California – February 5th, 2021 – Arc System Works America, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Guilty Gear™ -Strive- Open Beta Test (OBT) will be available on PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5 from 7:00pm PST on February 18th to 6:59am PST on February 21st.
