About Community Effort Orlando – CEO 2020

CEO 2020 and the Fighting Game Community return to Orlando, FL on June 26-28. Community Effort Orlando featured players and fighting game fans from over 45 US States and 30 Countries. Open to passionate people of all ages battling for the top prize inside of the infamous CEO Ring.

CEO 2020 Registration and Official Tournament List will open on February 1st.

Registration Information

All badges include access to the entire venue for the weekend. Spectators receive the same access but may not enter any official tournaments. Please note ALL Registrations below include general seating access into the Arena Finals viewing hall. For an additional $25 listed through registration, attendees can purchase Premium “Ringside” seats to be closer to the player entrances, action and hype in a dedicated seating section. This is limited to 200 seats.

Exhibit hall for casuals will also remain open on Sunday next to the Arena hall so you can make the most out of your weekend experience at CEO 2019!

Please keep in mind that official tournaments may start as early as Friday June 28th at 10am EST. A final pool schedule will be posted before registration closes in June This is to ensure a smooth and comfortable weekend for all players.

Normal Registration ($75)

*Available from March 1st until May 31st

 

Late Registration ($85)

*Available from June 1st until June 18th when online registration closes at 11:59 pm est.

As of now, there will be NO on Site Registration For CEO 2019. If you wish to compete you must register online before the June 18th Deadline. This is to ensure a smooth tournament experience for all players and staff involved! CEO reserves the right to revisit this in June and will let attendees know if any changes are made.

 

Spectators Badge

$50 3-day badge in advance , $25 1-day single day pass while supplies last. Spectator passes allows you to enjoy CEO 2019 as an attendee but not enter any of our official tournaments.

To purchase your Spectator badge for the weekend, please select it on the first page of registration then fill out your information.

General Game Rules
All Games will be played on default settings, unless otherwise noted below

All Tournament Matches are 2/3 Games unless otherwise noted under a game’s particular rulesets. Winners, Losers and Grand Finals for All games are 3/5!

All Games are run in Double Elimination style, larger turnouts will be split up into Pool Play with Double Elimination Rules.

All Macros available via the in-game controller configuration menu are allowed, Example- Tekken Mapping LP+RP to R1

Pausing the game at any time during a match results in forfeiture of the round. This rule may be ignored in cases of inevitable defeat, in which the the game is paused during a round ending move involving no more input by the player. (Solely at judge’s discretion if there is a player dispute).

If you choose Random Select to pick a character and win the match, you must Random Select your character again
In games that require a random or auto stage selection, players may play on a mutually agreed upon stage, as long as it is not a banned stage.

You MUST provide your own controller for the events when competing. You must bring your own converters. Cronus and Chronus Max Wireless converters are BANNED.

Brook Converters are legal and allowed. We have tested them ourselves without any issues. For more information on Brook

If you use a PS4 Dualshock or wireless controller of any kind, be sure to disconnect or desync it after every match.

Before beginning a match, make sure to delete all bluetooth devices from said console, failure to do so will be grounds for DQ if another match is interrupted.

If you are entered into multiple tournaments that possibly happen at the same time, please notify your pool judges to avoid any DQs

Coaching is allowed with One 30 second coaching break in a set before games. Coaches must be named before their matches. Coaches are not allowed on stage next to their players during a match. (Subject to change)

If you have any issues with the tournament itself or tournament play please find the Tournament Director Alex Jebailey during the event

Collusion of any kind with your competitors is considered cheating. If the Tournament Director determines that any competitor is colluding to manipulate the results or intentionally underperforming, the collaborating players may be immediately disqualified. This determination is to be made at the sole discretion of the Tournament Director.

Anyone disqualified in this manner forfeits all rights to any titles or prizes they might have otherwise earned for that tournament.
