Did the FGC Dominate the Top CCG Players in Teppen?

Here are the results of the PAX West Teppen Invitational
By on September 3, 2019

The first invitational for Teppen happened this past weekend at PAX West. It was a genuine cross-genre battle with the fighting game community (FGC) and the collectible card game (CCG) community going head to head.

Players Unrooolie, Justin Wong, Spooky, and Chris G from the FGC were invited. Mega Mogwai, Cure Mango, and Zeenigami from the CCG community were invited.

Fighting game players are masters at breaking down systems in games, so it wasn’t a surprise to see them do well in this tournament. It was fun to see how some of our best handled compete against the CCG’s best in a different genre.

Mega Mogwai took it with a clean 3-0 over Spooky in grand finals and received a $10,000 prize.

The Top 4 Final Results

    1. Mega Mogwai (Ryu)
    2. Spooky (Morrigan)
    3. Muffin Pastry Pie (Wesker)
    4. Chris G (Rathalos)

It’s no secret that Teppen has taken the FGC by storm and is very popular. So I’m excited to see more cross-genre events like this for Teppen and in other games.
