WT/sF Tackles the Concept of “Okizeme” in Fighting Games

By on April 20, 2020

WireMan is back with another episode of his tutorial series WT/sF. This time, he’s analyzing okizeme, the opportunity to pressure the opponent after a knockdown. Okizeme (or “oki”) for short is one of the few opportunities in fighting games to run your offense the way you want, so it’s important to understand both the opportunities and the limitations it presents. He discusses oki in the specific context of Street Fighter V, but the same basic concepts apply across all fighting games, so everyone has the opportunity to learn something from this video.

Watch the full thing below, then follow WireMan on Twitter and YouTube to keep up with his excellent series.
