In-person tournaments aren’t the only facet of the Fighting Game Community that’s suffering because of COVID-19. While we’re all stuck at home, it’s also harder for us to stay in fighting shape. If you find that you’re short on inspiration or motivation (or even just equipment), the fine people at Untechable Performance have a brilliant suggestion: just spell your main!
In the tweet below, Untechable Performance assigns a no-equipment exercise to each letter of the alphabet. In order to get a good quarantine workout, all you have to do is follow the instructions spelled out by the name of your main character. For example, a Ryu player would do ten squats, ten dead bugs, and ten jumping jacks. Then you’d repeat the cycle four more times. Don’t know what some of these exercises are? No problem! Untechable Performance also has a YouTube video demonstrating each move.
It’s still not the same as going to the gym, but this exercise program will keep you moving and bring you that much closer to your main. Try it out, then tell Untechable Performance how it worked on their Twitter!
