Granblue Fantasy Versus Version 1.21 Patch Notes

Granblue Fantasy Versus has received it’s first big set of changes for its next patch.

There’s a good amount of single player additions, quality of life changes, and of course the character adjustments.

The patch will be released April 7, 2020 for the PS4 version. The Steam version will be getting an update on April 13, 2020.

General Changes

  • Soriz & Djeeta available to download and play
  • System voices for Narmaya, Soriz, and Djeeta added
  • Roumasie Archipelago soundtrack added
  • Lobby Avatars Rosetta and Yggdrasil added
    • Lobby Avatars can be obtained by purchasing “Roumasie Archipelago”

Future Patch Plans

The update planned for late April (Ver 1.30) will be a total balance adjustment.
The plan is to focus on the following before making various other changes:
  • Reassessing every character’s close normal frame advantage
  • Reassessing the frame at which projectiles are guaranteed to come out
  • Preventing 22X inputs from coming out unintentionally

Charlotta

  • After the technical input has been executed, if the stick is returned to neutral or moved to down (2), the move will not come out

Percival

2H:
  • Reduced the upper portion of the hurtbox during its startup
  • Increased the size of the hitbox
2U:
  • Decreased recovery
j.H:
  • Decreased startup
5U:
  • Increased hitstun on successful throw. Increased advantage
  • * Percival’s recovery frames were untouched

Metera

2H:
  • Increased the size of the initial hitbox
1H:
  • Reduced the upper portion of the hurtbox during its startup, brought in line with 2H
  • Increased the size of the initial hitbox
22X:
  • When the butterfly is hit by an arrow, the cooldown does not reset. Instead, the cooldown is paused and when the attack has ended, it resumes from where it was previously

Lowain

  • Decreased recovery

  • Decreased startup

Zeta

  • 22M/j.22M/Spear of Arvess 2/8 follow up:
  • Increased the hitbox for hitting enemies behind Zeta on various vertical Spear of Arvess moves.

  • Changed 623X’s icon to that of an invulnerable move’s

BUG FIXES

Beelzebub
  • Fixed a bug where Beelzebub’s techs had longer durations than other characters
Narmaya
  • Fixed a bug where Beelzebub’s techs had longer durations than other characters
