During our first event, the Northern California Fighting Game Community was able to raise up to $1200 for Breast Cancer Research. As a bonus, that weekend the Breast Cancer Research Foundation was matching each donation, resulting in our total to $2400. Later, we created more spontaneous mini events including one for the GLHF Bar (Jacksonville Shooting) which raised $400 as well as partnering up with Level Up Live LLC. during a Wednesday Night Fights for a Toys for Tots drive which resulted in 80 toys donated.
In the spirit of Mental Health Awareness month, Combat for a Cause is back! Just like we did for Breast Cancer last October, we will be fundraising money for charity through multiple fighting game tournaments, vendors, and casual gaming. This time we are a proud supporter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention! Our goal is to raise $1000 for charity while promoting Mental Health Awareness. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
We are very fortunate to have other fighting game community brands, as well as local artist help, contribute to this event. Because 100% of the tournament fee goes towards the donation drive, we want to make the player's experience to be worth it! We accomplish this by having sponsored prizes for the Top 3 winners of each game and a special batch of raffles before Top 4! Not only are big name brands given exposure, but so are our local artists!
Can’t make it but still want to help? Percentage of any purchase will go to our donation drive!
