The official Dead or Alive Twitter account has announced that the next Dead or Alive 6 patch is their final update.
DOA6 patch version 1.22 is designed to add the DLC for the “High Society” and “School Uniforms” costumes along with bug fixes. The new DLC costumes will be available in mid April. In the announcement, they assure players that the online functions like match making, ranks, and the store will be available.

This seems to be ending the saga of Dead or Alive 6’s life on a sour note with their DLC practices the abysmal solution to their hair DLC issue. We hope that this doesn’t mean the end of the franchise and that another iteration of Dead or Alive can return with more consumer friendly practices.
