The 7th invitation spot was reserved for the winner of the Asia League Finals at Southeast Asia Major (SEAM) 2019. Yuttoto placed first with his Voldo and Azwel. Shen Chan placed 2nd with his Cervantes. The winner was to be given the invitational spot but with Yuttoto already qualified, the ruling to who gets the 7th spot was unclear.
Namco Bandai Esports sent out a statement to officially award Shen Chan with the 7th invitational spot. They apologized for the confusion with the rules that were in place for the qualifications. They’ve resolved to further review their selection policies to help develop the SoulCalibur esports scene.
Upon deliberation due to the circumstances from Asia League Finals, we are happy to announce @ShenChanSG as the next invitee to the #SoulCaliburWorldInvitational!
