All 7 invitee’s are revealed for the SoulCalibur World Invitational! This invitational tournament is set to take place at the HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas on November 2, 2019. There will also be a last chance qualifier at the event.

The invitations were earned with the players’ first place winnings at major SoulCalibur VI tournaments. Bandai Namco Esports has been periodically revealing the invitees since the announcement of the event. There’s a bevy of fighters hailing from North America, Europe, and Asia:

  • Bluegod (USA) winning CEO 2019
  • Linkorz (USA) winning Combo Breaker 2019
  • Lolomx (Mexico) winning Final Round 2019
  • Skyll (France) winning The MIXUP 2019
  • Keev (France) winning EVO Japan 2019
  • Yuttoto (Japan) winning EVO 2019

The 7th invitation spot was reserved for the winner of the Asia League Finals at Southeast Asia Major (SEAM) 2019. Yuttoto placed first with his Voldo and Azwel. Shen Chan placed 2nd with his Cervantes. The winner was to be given the invitational spot but with Yuttoto already qualified, the ruling to who gets the 7th spot was unclear.

Namco Bandai Esports sent out a statement to officially award Shen Chan with the 7th invitational spot. They apologized for the confusion with the rules that were in place for the qualifications. They’ve resolved to further review their selection policies to help develop the SoulCalibur esports scene.

Shen Chan shared his gratitude for the decision for his invitation and to the SoulCalibur community via twitter.

If you plan on attending, be sure to check out more information on our event page here.
