TraceComplete Partners With Red Bull For US Tekken Invitational Tournament Mini-Series

By on August 17, 2020

Despite the ongoing dangers imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fighting Game Community is still finding ways to compete. From major pro tours to community-run exhibition series, the FGC has bitten the proverbial bullet and embraced online play. The latest example is the Complete Series, a multi-part Tekken 7 tournament run by TraceComplete.

Intended to showcase up-and-coming talent across the United States, the Complete Series will feature six qualifiers, each of which features a respectable $300 pot bonus, which Red Bull Gaming has doubled for the first event. Tekken players from the New England area will compete this Saturday starting at 3pm eastern time, and future events will focus on the New York/New Jersey, mid-Atlantic, southeast, and midwest regions respectively. The final qualifier, a “Last Chance Scramble,” is tentatively scheduled for May.

Once all the finalists have been established, the Complete Series will conclude with an in-person finale. Of course, that hasn’t been scheduled yet, and it may be some time before in-person events are safe again. But for the time being, we can all kick back and enjoy some high-level Tekken 7 from the safety of our own couches. For more info, check out the trailer below. And be sure to follow TraceComplete on Twitch and Twitter so that you can catch all the action and cheer for your region when the time comes!
