Most fighting game tutorials have issues with effectively teaching how to play the game. Many front load too much information and don’t give opportunities to put lessons into practice.
Stumblebee explores the pitfalls of these in-game tutorials. He puts a few fighting game tutorials to the test by having first time players try them. They find that it’s difficult to know which buttons to press or retain any of the information given. But he gives praise to a few tutorials that have a lot going for them.
