Rivals GO1 and SonicFox Both Post Dragon Ball FighterZ Tier Lists

What does S tier mean, again?
By on October 8, 2020

No two players have defined competitive Dragon Ball FighterZ more than Dominique “SonicFox” McLean and Goichi “GO1” Kishida. They’ve given us epic sets at events across the world, including at the grand finals of the Evolution Championship Series in 2018 and 2019. Now they’ve also given us their thoughts on the new version of the game.

Shortly after DBFZ version 3.5 dropped last month, both McLean and Kishida quickly evaluated the updated roster and published their thoughts in the form of tier lists. Both agree that the entire cast is viable (with Kishida going so far as to categorize everybody in the game as S- or higher) and that the gap between the top and the bottom is not huge. Nevertheless, they do have some minor disagreements over placement, with characters like Beerus and Cooler sitting two tiers apart in the two lists. Of course, these ratings are largely theoretical at the moment, as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has put all of the FGC’s major events on hold. But even if you’re just a casual player, McLean and Kishida’s ratings are a good sign that you can pick up anyone you like and have a fair shot at winning.

Take a look at the two lists below, then support these two all-stars by following them on all their various outlets: McLean’s Twitter, Twitch, and YouTube, and Kishida’s Twitter, Mildom, and YouTube.
