By on September 12, 2019

Following on yesterday’s announcement, the Street Fighter League website has posted a more detailed (though still incomplete) ruleset for the upcoming Street Fighter V portion of the Intel World Open.* Notable highlights include:

  • There will be four players per team
  • Thirteen nations, including Japan, will be automatically eligible for the tournament
  • Japan will bypass all qualifying competition and will be automatically eligible for the final (top eight) phase

The rules also mention three regions (the Americas, Eastern Europe/Middle East/Africa, and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation), although it remains unclear whether the tournament will be structured around these regions in any meaningful way.
