Dead or Alive 6 Hairstyle DLC Solution Has Negative Reception from Players

Koei Tecmo has implemented a solution to their hair DLC but is it enough?

Dead or Alive 6 is a series that’s best known for the beautiful graphics and its characters to say the least. But the latest DLC for changing hair color has seen its fair share of controversy due to how it was implemented. But the team at Koei Tecmo has responded to the backlash with a fix that was implemented for the PS4 version of the game.

Initially, the hair color DLC had to use 1 Premium Ticket (roughly $1) for every time a hair color was changed. This makes it so you don’t ever truly own the hair color style and the player base felt like this was gouging them of their money.

The solution that KT has implemented has expanded how much you get for the purchase with 1 Premium Ticket. Now when you purchase the colors, it will give you all 16 hair colors for each hairstyle you purchase it for. For example, if you purchase the colors for a “short haircut style, you can only change colors for that 1 style. You will need to use a 2nd Premium Ticket if you want to purchase the colors for the “long haircut” style.

The official statement is here below:

Many players were not happy with this solution. They are still sore about how the DLC was first implemented and felt that making the hair color free was the right thing to do. All other fighting games that feature hair color changes make it available for free. Others complained asking why this fix was only pushed out for PS4 and not for the PC or Xbox One.
